How it Works

Pre-ordering products for in-store pickup is fast and easy. First, ensure you’re logged in on gamestop.ca, and simply add eligible pre-orders to your shopping cart using the "Add to Cart" button. In your shopping cart, click on the "Pre-order online & pickup in-store" button to continue. A $5 deposit is required to ensure your product is reserved for you in-store.

You’ll need to select an GameStop store where you’ll pickup your order. You can do this by using the map feature at the checkout and searching by city, store address, or postal code. Once your order is placed, you cannot change your selected store. You will receive an order confirmation by email and a call from the store once your product arrives. At that time, you’ll be required to pay the balance of your order at the store.

Payment

You will be required to pay a $5 deposit when you pre-order your item online for in-store pickup. gamestop.ca accepts Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debits and American Express. We also accept GameStop / GameStop Gift Cards and Edge cards with a scratch-off PIN. The balance of your order will need to be paid in-store when you pick up your product. Our stores accept the payment methods above as well as cash, debit and you can trade in your used games, consoles, accessories and select mobile devices to help pay for your purchase.

Required at Time of Pickup

For identification purposes at the time of pickup, please bring a copy of your order confirmation email and a valid driver's license or other government-issued identification. Customers will be required to show proof of age when purchasing games with an ESRB rating of M (Mature).

Changes to Your Reserved Pre-Order

To cancel or make changes to your reserved pre-order, please contact the store at least one day after your order has been placed. Please note that you won’t be able to modify your order online once it’s been confirmed.

Product Pickup Date

As release dates change frequently, we cannot guarantee arrival dates. When your product arrives and is available for pickup, you will be called by the store at the phone number you provided when you placed your order. Depending on your Edge membership status, new releases not picked up within 48 hours may not be available due to the high demand.

Deadline for Reserving Online

The ability to select ‘Pre-order Online & Pickup In-Store’ as a shopping option on gamestop.ca is removed 5 days before a product’s release date, so be sure to pre-order early.

Item Limits

GameStop reserves the right to limit quantities pre-ordered and may cancel pre-orders at its discretion.

Promotional Bonus Items

Some pre-ordered products are bundled with promotional bonus items, such as T-shirts or key chains. Quantities of promotional items are limited, so you should check with your local store for availability. For high-value bonus items available before the release of a product, like a free game with a pre-order, you may be required to place an additional deposit at your local store.

If you would like to cancel your pre-order, please visit the store that you directed the order to. An associate will be more than glad to assist you with the refund.

Please note that your order details will not be visible to the associates at your pick-up location immediately. Details will be sent within 24 hours of placing your order.

Please note: This is a digital product. The product will be delivered in the form of a redeemable code which will be viewable on the "My Order" page.


All orders for Digital products are manually checked by our team prior to approval. If your order is placed outside of normal office hours (Monday to Friday), this may delay processing of your order.


Please note: Digital products are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged once the order has been processed.
